On November 18, 2024, production of big cattle, small ruminants and pigs Foot-And-Mouth disease vaccine was launched at the biopharmaceutical plant of OtarBioPharm LLP as part of the technology transfer.

Foreign technologists from Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, France, who arrived at the biopharmaceutical plant in order to assess the compliance of vaccine production with the standard of good manufacturing practice (GMP), highly appreciated the organization of work, including acceptance, consolidation, bottling, primary packaging, secondary packaging and transfer to a warehouse for quarantine storage and gave comments on production.

After a period of quarantine storage, the vaccine will be delivered to special warehouses of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the spring of 2025 it will be transferred to the regions of the country for the vaccination of big cattle, ruminants and pigs in order to prevent foot-and-mouth disease.
